First time down Ben Yehuda

Jordana and Maddie here:

Having so much fun in Israel, can't believe we've already been here for 2 weeks! Time has passed so quickly. Today our madrichim organized a surprise for us and we went to this amazing hot springs place where we swam in the beautiful hot water. We were all very excited to be right on the Jordanian border!

Last Shabbat we had a free weekend which everyone really enjoyed. Some went to past Zionist madrichim, some reunited with their family members and some saw friends that had made Aliyah. We went to Ben Yehuda Street for the first time and we loved it so much but the most important part of our weekend was definitely learning how to eat garinim (sunflower seeds) the Israeli way from Avinoam's family.
It is both of our first times in Israel and we still can't believe how lucky we are to be here! Kibbutz life is so different to what we had imagined yet we've had so much fun and met so many amazing people who we already love. We're excited to see what the next few weeks bring us and we promise to keep you updated on the kibbutz gossip! Missing everyone, behatzlacha for exams and ask your Hebrew teachers how to use 'stam' correctly before you come to Israel otherwise the Israelis will laugh at you!
